Recently awarded Five Red Pavilions (the top honor for hotels) by the prestigious Michelin Guide, Hotel Chinzanso Tokyo is the picture of serenity, a garden oasis in the heart of Tokyo.
The land surrounding the hotel is famous for its wild camellias, blooming now for over six centuries. Originally called Tsubakiyama or “mountain of camellias”, Meiji Era Prime Minister Yamagata Aritomo purchased the land in 1878 to build a home and garden, naming this new metropolitan oasis Chinzanso.
137 years later, Chinzanso still dazzles its visitors year-round with camellias in the winter, cherry trees in spring, fireflies in the garden in summer, and changing leaves in autumn. Visitors are invited to experience the four distinct seasons, so cherished by the Japanese.
Known as an elegant hideaway in the city, Chinzanso recently introduced the “Hideaway Stay Plan”, a night in the private Hideaway Garden Suite sure to provide guests a bit of relief in their busy lives.
